Money touches almost every decision we make, yet the tools built to manage it are often loud, confusing and quietly designed to sell you something. We believe managing money should feel calm, clear and private. So we are building exactly that.
Why we started
Money apps got loud. We wanted quiet.
Balance started with a frustration many people share, and a belief that the fix was not more features, but fewer distractions.

Most money apps compete for attention. Alerts in red, scores that go down, offers for credit cards you did not ask for. Checking your finances started to feel like opening a slot machine, and many people simply stopped looking.

Free tools are rarely free. When an app earns its living from ads, referrals or data, its incentives drift away from yours. We kept asking a simple question: what would a money app look like if it only had to answer to the person using it?
