Cookie settings

Cookies are small text files a website stores on your device. We also use similar technologies such as local storage. In this policy we call them all “cookies”. Some are essential for the site to work; others are optional and only used if you allow them.

We group cookies into four categories:

Balance sets no third-party cookies. If we add a cookie or tracker, we will list it here first.

On your first visit a small notice appears at the bottom of the page, in English on English pages and in Hebrew on Hebrew pages and in the app when it is set to Hebrew. It stays until you choose, and it never blocks the page.

• When analytics is switched on for the site, the notice offers three equal choices: Accept all, Reject optional and Settings. Nothing optional runs before you choose, and no box is ticked for you.
• When the site uses essential cookies only (as it may today), the notice simply says so, with one OK button. Essential cookies do not need your consent, but we still want you to know about them.
• We save your choice on this device with the date and the version of this policy. If we change what we use, we ask you again.

Optional cookies are off until you turn them on. You can change your mind at any time, and it applies immediately:

• choose Cookie settings at the bottom of any page (or Settings → Your data in the app), or use the panel at the top of this page;
• block or delete cookies in your browser settings (some parts of the site may stop working); or
• turn on Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track in your browser: we treat either as “Reject optional”, and analytics stays off.

Your choice is stored on this device and browser only, so on another device you will be asked again. Clearing your browser data also clears it.

Balance does not show ads and does not allow advertising networks to track you on our site. We never use cookies to sell your data. Read more in our Privacy Policy.
